Job DescriptionRole and Responsibilitie as an employee service is the number one priority no matter the position you are working.
That will always be the standard and expectation that is held during store hours and even after-hours employees.
It should be that all customers are greeted when entering the store and served as quickly and efficiently as possible while they are in our store, beyond just being rung out at the register but being able to answer questions effectively and assisting when needed.
Overnight and closed hours staff are expected to work with the best intent to ensure the customers are being served by ensure shelves are stocked, clean and organized, that the store is in clean and safe conditions, and that the store is ready for the next time we are open.
Responsibilities Must be able to communicate with customers with respect and a welcoming manner.
Pay attention to details when ringing out customers on the register (correct input, and taxed items, ensure correct change is given, and the drawer is correct) Informing management if problems occur, or if something would need to be addressed to fix or ease a situation of any kind.
Identify customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them.
Keep work areas clean and safe from hazards (front desk, restrooms, back rooms, dock, and store front) Clean and organize customer isles and shelves when necessary Notify all customer complaints or issues to management (will have some sort of communication guidelines in place) Maintain a balanced drawer Complete other related tasks as requested Always use correct body mechanics when lifting, pulling, pushing, etc Always use safe practices with work equipment (safety knives, dolly carts, hand carts, and anything else that may be of use during your shift) Ensure trash and cardboard are taken care of as needed Ensure the breakroom is maintained by those whom use it.
Keep walkways, hallways and fire exits clear always.
Should be able to life at least 25-50lbs Able to stand for long periods of time, if needed we can adapt to needs.
