JOB SUMMARY The Project Manager is responsible for all regional activities of remedial and industrial projects including but not limited to excavations, grading, industrial cleaning, confined space entry, vacuum work, transportation coordination in support of project work, and other Material Processing Facilities (MPF's) project task as needed or requested. Reporting directly to our Director of Operations, you will work very closely with our MPF's. Accountable for the profitability and efficiency of all field operations while maintaining a safe worksite and complying with regulatory agencies. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop maintain, and promote workplace quality, performance, appearance, and effectiveness. Set Safety as a number one priority for the field services team and promote Covanta's health and environmental standards and expectations. Set clear expectations, lead, coordinate, train, and direct field service employees on initiatives from Corporate and Divisional leaders. Coordinate and communicate all phases of operations including project set up, project milestones, project obstacles, and project completeness including assisting in invoicing. Communicating - Effectively providing information to clients, supervisors, peers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Ensuring all preventative maintenance obligations are consistently met and ensure that the facility services team is always organized and ready. Analyze field service budget requests, sales, and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement while identifying areas in which cost reductions and program improvements can be made. Assist Sales in pursuing growth opportunities and provide insight and assistance as needed to generate proposals for future opportunities. Directly supervise up to 10 employees; carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Personnel responsibilities consist of; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and conflict resolution; determining staffing requirements, interviewing, hiring, and training new employees. Responsible for Initial investigation for accidents, incidents, and near misses. Follow up with CES Management, Sr. Director of SHE, and Human Resources as needed. QUALIFICATIONS 3
years of hands-on experience in remediation and industrial service work Knowledge of and experience with hazardous and non-hazardous waste Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in related industry a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
